Robert “Fergie” Fergeson

Bob Ferguson was born in Montgomery, West Virginia in 1948. His family moved to Marietta when he was a young boy. He grew up attending Marietta public schools. After graduating, he moved to Cincinnati for college. He initiated into the Gamma Xi Chapter of Delta Tau Delta on April 9, 1967. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, Ferguson moved back to Marietta to work as a CPA. “Ferg” or “Fergie”, as he is more commonly known, was tasked with becoming the chapter advisor for the relatively new Epsilon Upsilon chapter in 1975. He remained in this role for 50 years, nearly double the length of time served by any other Delt chapter advisor. In 2000, Ferguson was cited to the Distinguished Service Chapter, the Fraternity’s highest award for outstanding service to the Fraternity. Fergie and his wife, Ginny Ferguson, have four children and four grandchildren.
