Position Information:
Noveome is looking for a person with a background in biology, biochemistry, cell culture, or other related disciplines to join the manufacturing group in the Pittsburgh, PA facility. This facility operates in compliance with FDA CFR part 210-211 cGMP in Manufacturing, Processing, Packing, or Holding of Drugs and Finished Pharmaceuticals. This facility uses banked primary cells for further manufacturing of cell based products. This is an entry level technical position, on-site training will be provided. The candidate must be self motivated and team oriented to be successful in meeting company goals.

Job Responsibilities:
• Perform and document work in compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Perform cleaning, maintenance and monitoring of the ISO 7 clean room facility
• Perform laboratory equipment cleaning and maintenance
• Seed and maintain large and small scale cell cultures
• Perform cell thaw, count, harvest and banking
• Perform product collection, filtration and storage

Preferred Technical Abilities:
• Aseptic technique, and handling of human tissue/cell specimens
• Large and micro volume pipetting
• Use of centrifuges/refrigerators/freezers/incubators/balances
• Knowledge of basic light microscopy and cell counting methods
• Knowledge of cryopreservation / work with liquid nitrogen
• Algebra level math and basic statistical methods
• Use of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel and electronic inventory and documentation databases

Internship Program Overview

Our interns will apply their education to meaningful projects in a team environment alongside a technical mentor. You will be exposed to many levels of management within our company concluding with an end of summer presentation to the executive team. Throughout the summer you will have the opportunity to acquire technical and professional skills, to participate in team building activities, and to enjoy social events in the Rocky Mountain region.

Internship Position Description

This summer intern position will provide the student with the opportunity to gain experience in a dynamic, real-world software development environment. The successful internist will be detail-oriented, and have good analytical and problem-solving skills. They must be able to work effectively in a team environment, but also be able to complete individual tasks with minimal day-to-day supervision. This position will introduce the internist to programming in large, complex mainframe production environments.

The task at hand will most likely be to assist in the updating of Infoprint Server’s Graphical User Interface, and simultaneously porting it to the Apache HTTPD Server. The internist will be expected to complete the design of one or more specific GUI pages, implement the design, and perform unit and integration testing of their new pages. Some additional work may be required to update the server-side code to implement some limited new functionality.
